Disclosure
We ensure the disclosure of regular, reliable and relevant information regarding our activities, structure, financial situation and performance. This will include financial and operating results, company objectives, information about key personnel, and material issues regarding employees, other stakeholders, governance structures and policies.
Employment and industrial relations
AVEBE will provide fair remuneration for all its employees. We respect our employees’ rights to trade union representation and will engage in constructive negotiations on employment conditions. To this end, we will provide appropriate information about company performance and promote consultation between ourselves, our employees and their representatives. We will not discriminate on the grounds of race, colour, sex, religion, political opinion, national extraction or social origin. We respect and maintain the privacy of our employees.
Health and Safety and Environment
We will conduct our activities in a manner contributing to the wider goal of sustainable development. Within the legal and regulatory framework we will take due account of the need to protect the environment, public health and safety, and will establish an appropriate system of environmental management. We will set and monitor targets regarding our environmental, health and safety performance and intend to roll out best-practice examples across the company. We will inform employees, local communities and the public at large about any potential environmental, health and safety impacts of our activities.
Combating bribery
We will not offer or demand bribes to obtain or retain business, and we will ensure our employees understand company policy in this respect. AVEBE will not make payments to political parties or organisations whose activities are aimed to promote party interests. We will adopt financial and accounting systems to ensure these standards are maintained. Our employees are expected to protect their own personal integrity by maintaining a clear business relationship with all stakeholders and to avoid situations where their personal integrity can be questioned.
Competition
We will refrain from entering into or carrying out any sort of anti-competitive agreements with our competitors and will promote awareness among our employees of applicable competition laws. Our employees have to act in accordance with the Compliance manual Competition.Food Safety and Quality
AVEBE will use its best endeavours to assure that its food and feed ingredients are food safe and meet the quality requirements of our Customers. We will establish appropriate food safety and quality management systems to develop, manufacture and commercialize food and feed ingredients that meet the regulatory and customer food safety and quality requirements on a continuing basis.
