As a modern international co-operative, AVEBE translates the concept of integrated chain management into practice with direct management of its members/suppliers.

The members of the co-operative are divided into six districts, of which four are in the Netherlands and two in Germany. The members of a district elect a District Council, consisting of ten members. The members of the six District Councils together form the Members Council. This council meets twice a year. The Young farmers Council has an advisory role.
The Supervisory Board consists of five to nine members, of which the majority are members of the co-operative. The Board of Directors consists of two members, not necessarily being members of the co-operative.
