AVEBE introduces AVECAT protective colloids for paper sizing agents

AVECAT® is AVEBE’s new range of potato starch based cationic products, for the preparation of sizing agents in paper applications. This product line will help the chemical industry improve the efficiency of their manufacturing process, as well as boost the efficiency of their sizing agents:

  • Polymer dispersions for surface sizing
  • AKD emulsions for application in the wet end

Cationic and Amphoteric sizing agents are becoming increasingly important. To meet this demand AVEBE introduces the AVECAT® product line. The advantage of AVECAT® protective colloids for the manufacturing of polymeric sizing agents is the improved sizing efficiency. These new potato based starches are ideal for the manufacturing of AKD emulsions with improved stability and reactivity.

The products are based on regular as well as waxy (amylopectin rich) potato starch. Similar to other AVEBE products, AVECAT® products are clean and pure, essentially free of salts and other residuals.

The development of the AVECAT® range extends the AVEBE product portfolio as a service to the chemical industry. The products are appreciated by the market and implemented successfully. AVEBE’s sales & Marketing teams are enthusiast to tell you more about this new opportunity.
