Synthetic Polymer Replacement

The newly developed SPR range of AVEBE combines the natural advantages of starch with the benefits of synthetic sizing agents.

The SPR series, based on amylopectin potato starch, represents the pinnacle in starch sizing development, allowing partial or even complete replacement of synthetic polymers, such as PVA and polyacrylates, in the sizing recipe.

SPR biopolymers offer a superb weaving performance combined with environmental benefits at reduced costs.

Yarns sized with SPR based sizing recipes show a higher abrasion resistance and a greater flexibility, resulting in reduced yarn breaks and improved fabric quality. Importantly, dust formation is minimised as well.

SPR sizing agents are available in several viscosity levels which allow easy combination with other sizing products and effective sizing of all yarn counts from coarse denim to fine shirting.
