For the first time, Avebe has combined its annual financial report with a detailed report on its strategy and sustainability policy. The result is an integrated annual report that sets a new standard in the potato starch sector.
The integrated annual report has been written in accordance with the guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Integrated Reporting. These are international standards for quality and reliability. Avebe is the first in the potato starch sector to publish an integrated annual report according to these guidelines. There are already many examples of this being done in the food sector. We know that our customers will appreciate and make use of this report. We have decided not to have the report audited this time, but intend to do so in the future.
This integrated annual report improves our ratings in comparisons such as the Dutch Transparency Benchmark and international standards such as Ecovadis and SEDEX. Comparisons such as these are widely used by customers and the government. This report also ensures that we are able to answer questions consistently and that stakeholders not only receive information about our approach to managing financial risks, but also about how we take our social responsibility and approach sustainability.
