Visit Royal Dutch couple

19 Feb 2015
On the 17th of February the Royal Dutch couple, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima visited Veendam.

After a tour in the ‘Veenkoloniaal’ Museum the royal couple visited the innovation square that was set up in the adjacent cultural centre Van Beresteyn. Here four key projects of the Innovation Programme for the reclaimed peat areas (Veenkoloniën) were presented: Solanic, Plant Value, ‘Sufficient water, vital soil’ and Network for young farmers.

The couple was guided by Avebe board member Johan Russchen and deputy Staghouwer. The CFO of Avebe, Ed Kraaijenzank, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Avebe, Hans Hoekman, gave an explanation on Avebe.

Also the royal couple were extensively informed about the developments of the Solanic potato proteins.

Innovation by nature
Avebe is developing

And has been for almost 100 years.
Not always to become more or bigger,
but always to be better.

This ambition deserves a new visual identity.
