Sigma in Europe presents the ‘Supplier Excellence Award’ to Royal Avebe. This reflects the leading food company’s recognition of Avebe for its excellent sustainability performance in 2020.Sigma in Europe encourages and recognises sustainable entrepreneurship with the ‘Supplier Excellence Award’.
The Company evaluated the merits of approximately 300 European non- meat suppliers, including ingredients and packaging suppliers, as well as marketing and financial services consultants. Analysing their indicators within six dimensions of sustainability, including health and safety, local engagement with communities, anti-corruption, environment and certificates obtained. Ultimately, 25 non-meat suppliers in Europe received an award from Sigma. Avebe is the only producer in the category for starch and derivatives.

We do this together with our members and customers in order to produce sustainable food systems, for example. This is how we, too, aim to make a difference for our customers.
