Statement Coronavirus24 Apr 2020
The coronavirus is keeping us all on our toes. Some countries are relaxing the rules, while in others stricter measures are needed. The Dutch government has decided to extend most of the measures currently in force (staying at home as much as possible, working from home, keeping a distance and the hygiene measures) until 20 May. For Avebe, this means that our protocols remain in place. We have a professional crisis organisation in place that monitors the situation internally and externally on a daily basis. They are taking measures to minimise the impact of the coronavirus on our business activities and to protect everyone - both employees and partners at our sites - as much as possible.
The Dutch government has designated Avebe, as a producer of important ingredients for the food industry, as a vital sector organisation. Our employees, together with suppliers and partners, are working daily to ensure that customer orders continue to be delivered. Although external factors such as waiting times at the borders occasionally present challenges, we are doing everything we can to ensure that orders run as smoothly as possible. We are working with our customers to find the best possible solutions. We are informing them directly if the situation changes for their order.
Do you have any questions about your order? If so, please contact your account manager at Avebe.
If you have any other questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or call +31 598 66 5400.
Update 20 March 2020
More countries are taking measures to restrict the corona virus outbreak. This means for example that we are confronted with longer waiting times at borders which could result in longer lead-times outside our control. Customers can help us by ordering products in time. We will do our utmost together with our partners and suppliers to avoid any direct disruptions in our ability to produce and supply as we normally do. We shall inform any customer directly if this situation were to change for their order. Trusting on your flexible cooperation.
16 March 2020
The coronavirus is continuing to spread. It is therefore necessary for Avebe to take additional measures to protect the health and safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers.
The measures that we have put in place to prevent the spread of the virus are:
- Ban on travelling until further notice,
- Our employees are working from home (if possible) and are not attending any events such as large meetings and exhibitions,
- Avoid meetings at other Avebe locations and locations outside Avebe, preferably using conference call options such as Microsoft Teams,
- Reminding everyone of good hygiene practices.
Our employees have been given hygiene instructions to wash their hands regularly, not to shake hands, sneeze and cough in the elbow and to keep distance from people who are sick.
We realize that this virus outbreak is causing concerns. We will do our utmost to avoid any direct disruptions in our ability to produce and supply as we normally do. We shall inform any customer directly if this situation were to change for their order.
